The opening device consists of a three section pneumatic telescopic cylinder which operates with a mix of CO2 gas / OIL(1) pivoted between two parallel brackets, a CO2 gas cylinder, thermo fusible glass tube and a thermal valve.

A further spring latch cylinder (inside the thermal valve group), in series with the supply of the main one, blocks the system in closed state in conditions of zero emergency.
External manual unhooking for maintenance purposes can be carried out with the removable pin near the end of the latch.

In evacuation state, the system uses two mechanical blocks which are located on the sides that are perpendicular to the hinge side which guarantee the stability when opening even in conditions of head on winds.
All the cylinder feed pipes are in Teflon protected by double stainless steel braiding.

The oleo-pneumatic cylinder thrust guarantees full opening control.
The device can be connected to a pneumatic remote opening system without the need for any other accessory.

(1) Oil adjustment of the third section allows for a controlled thrust opening until the pre-established angle has been reached by avoiding any stress on the structure (hinge and bracket frame).

FREE SMOKE, SMOKE AND HEAT EXHAUST VENTILATION SYSTEM
CE certified according to Directive 89/106 Construction Products, in compliance with the EN12101-2 SHEVS harmonized standard. Free Smoke, opening angle 157°, consisting of a frame (with tubular structure 1 Kg/m) and counter frame (with Z structure – 1 Kg/m) in UNI6060 natural alloy extruded aluminium, caulk assembled, complete with seals, aluminium hinges and stainless steel rivets and screws. 
The opening device consists of a three section pneumatic telescopic cylinder which operates with a mix of CO2 gas / OIL (closed cylinder sizes from 30 to 65 cm, 1st section bore diameter 63 mm, 2nd section diameter 50 mm, 3rd section diameter 25 mm - NOTE 1 -) pivoted between two parallel brackets, a cylinder containing 60 grams of CO2 gas, thermo sensitive tube set at 68° (or 93° - 115° - 141° - 182° to be specified on order) and thermal valve. A further spring latch cylinder (inside the thermal valve group), in series with the supply of the main one, blocks the system in closed state in conditions of zero emergency. In evacuation state, the system uses two mechanical blocks which are located on the sides that are perpendicular to the hinge side which guarantee the stability when opening even in conditions of head wind. All the cylinder feed pipes are in Teflon protected by double stainless steel braiding. The opening with controlled thrust up to full opening is also guaranteed in conditions of head wind. The device can be connected to a pneumatic remote opening system (priced separately) without the need for any other accessory.
- NOTE 1 – Oil adjustment of the third section allows for a controlled thrust opening until the pre-established angle has been reached by avoiding any stress on the structure (hinge and bracket frame). Other manufacturers achieve this result by installing a gas spring that ensures that the SHEVS does not drop when it goes over 90° .  Product classification: RE50 Reliability – opening under SL1000 load up to a net size of 100x250 cm / with SL500 wider – Low ambient temperature T (25) – Wind load WL1500 – B300 Heat Resistance.
